Three days to step back in time!

To mark the 166th anniversary of the Battle of Castelfidardo, the town is celebrating with a three-day event dedicated to history, culture, and new experiences—running from September 18 to 20 —under the patronage of the Marche Regional Council.

The program ranges from the traditional commemoration of the fallen to the presentation of the book Storie di Comando (Stories of Command) by military historian Andrea Santangelo; from a unique “escape wood” game inspired by General De Pimodan to an e-bike tour with Marche cycling guides and a night-time visit to the sites of the Risorgimento.

Also included in the program is an exhibition and book presentation marking the 70th anniversary of the association Italia Nostra. These events highlight the activities and campaigns of local chapters—such as the Castelfidardo branch’s efforts to protect the battlefield area, establish the Castelfidardo Risorgimento Museum, revive commemorative celebrations, and promote awareness of our history.
